RORY JOSEPH WEICHBROD (Age 26)
Tragically on Sunday, October 10, 2010, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved son of Kathleen Gallagher Weichbrod and Robert H. Weichbrod; brother of Gretchen Maureen Weichbrod, Erin Weichbrod Carrillo (Raul) and Luke Colin Weichbrod; grandson of Mary C. Gallagher. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may call at St. Bernadette's Church, 72 University Blvd., East, Silver Spring, MD on Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 11 a.m. Interment Private. I recently found out about your loss from Allan Goldberg and I am so sorry to hear of Rory's death. I cannot imagine what you have been going through. I did not know about it previously because we've been living in Charlotte, NC. I will say Kaddish for him the next time we are in our Temple.

I didn't know Rory but I knew of him from the wonderful things his father shared with me and my husband Marc. I worked with his father for 9 years at NIH with the NEI. Dr. Weichbrod always talked so highly of his family and was so proud of their accomplishments. I remember the day he told me about their Vegas trip; it was just the three of them (father & sons); and what a good time he said they had. To Dr. Weichbrod and family; we are truly sorry for this devastating loss. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

Hi Rory, this is Mom. I experienced the miracle of life when you were born. I was the first peron to love you, hug you and kiss you. And unfortunately I was the first person to embrace your broken body and kiss you good bye. I am so sad. You were in your prime and leading a responsible and full of fun life.
