To All the Kowal "Kids,"

I will never forget your Mom's kindness and gentle spirit. She always had a smile for me, whether I was peering through the fence, trying to play with Gipper, climbing over the fence (she even rescued me once when I got stuck hanging upside down by my shorts), or on your side of the fence, making a general nuisance of myself. I hope I can be half the Mom, friend, and neighbor that she was.

You are in my thoughts.

I will always remember her as a beautiful person who raised a beautiful family.

We offer our sincere condolences to the Kowal family. She was a remarkable woman.
Joyce was visting Ann one day at the home in Woodmoor and seeing several recently baked pies on the counter she asked Ann if they were for a bake sale. Ann said "No. They are for dessert this evening."
She is an inspiration to us.
