Aunt Ruth was the embodiment of life, a ready smile, an infectious laugh, willing to listen and ready to share. She helped me and 30 yrs later my son Patrick with his Ancestry merit badge. She raised some of the best kids into some of the best people I know. Her sisters and brothers were much the same each special in their own yet similar way. I would not trade being in this family for anything I will always love you Aunt Ruth, Safe Home until we meet again.

The words I think of ,when thinking of Ruth are, stronge, kind, funny, thoughtful ,helpful, teacher, calm, easy, reasonable, accepting , but most of all these great traits , Loving! The love she had for family, just like Kelly said was all encompassing . And for that we are all blessed.

Jimmy Buckley (quoting Bill Buckley) said today...Life is like waiting in line at the DMV...you wait and wait and then your out. When he first said it my first thought, Aunt Ruth would the person you want to be stuck in line with. After the wake today I realize anyone of the 66 grand children or their kids would be also great the "stuck in line" with. My Aunts and Uncles created a great clan.

The Layers of Love she created for our family was never ending. As she shared our history and essentially introduced us to family members we never knew we had, she created more love. Branch by branch sharing connections - a cousin here, a great great Aunt there and before you knew it you felt somehow supported by this massive tree of family you might not have even met yet. Her stories made you listen intently, her knowledge and accomplishments made you want to be more like her and her acceptance and understanding of others was inspiring. I will think of her often and tell my children about her greatness.

See was my Aunt and friend. She laughed easy and always made me feel that she was glad to see me. I will miss her forever. It hurts. Love you and your whole family.
