I met Sandy at a party during our junior year in college, and we became good friends. We would often study together in the library, and I believe she helped me bring my grades up. Such was her charm and enthusiasm for life. Others here have commented on her mystical powers; I witnessed them first hand. I was shocked when I was looking up old friends on the internet and discovered she had passed. So young! My condolences to all her family, including Luz, Karen and Dana Jr., whom I met, and Harley and the rest of her family, whom I never met. I'm sure we all remember her fondly and miss her greatly.

I flew with Sandy only a few times, but it was always good. I have a flash light she gave to me and has been with me on every flight since. A light is always shinning for her.
she will be missed.

I worked with Sandy, and she was a beautiful person inside and out. I remember most of all that she never said or thought anything negative, and was such a loving and Karen person. The other thing that I remember is that she constantly spoke of her husband, Harley. It was Harley, Harley, Harley! It was so obvious how in love she was. How I envied her. She was a rarity. Such gentle, kind and loving people are few and far between. She will be sadly missed at work.

Sandy and I were best buds in grade school and high school. She was such a free spirit. I have never met anyone so full of life and not afraid to take life on. The adventures we had would be a best selling book. The times we hung out at Iverson Mall, dates with Larry and Mike, getting in trouble with everyone, Mrs. Hamblin taking us to the pool at Andrews,Pee Wee her dog, easy going Mr.Hamblin,Granny in the Tenn.Mountains, visits to Puerto Rico, skydiving into the tree tops, and a few activities that I can't mention here. You couldn't help but love Sandy with her beautiful long hair and outgoing personality. She definitely has her wings. Heaven will never be the same. Thank you Sandy for being in my life. You will always be in my heart.Until we are together again...I love you my friend. Mary Karr
P.S. Karen,Dana And Mrs. Hamblin - I am so sorry for your loss.I have great memories of our times together.

I am so very saddened to hear that Sandy has passed. We always enjoyed talking and flying together for the past 20 plus years. We both were always on the run to the next gate in Dallas. She lit up my life. DEAR Harley and Family, please be comforted in knowing that Sandy is LOVED and ADORED by so many and now has her true WINGS.

Sandy was a lovely, one-of-a kind person who lit up a room with her humor, energy and grace. She always had a wealth of interesting ideas and observations to share with you. She was Tinker Bell 2.0, sprinkling her special brand of pixie dust on all those lucky enough to be around her. We will miss her terribly.
