Along with the whole McLaughlin family, I am deeply grieved to learn of Ted's passing, and desirous to offer words of comfort and gestures of care to Noreen, Debbie, Jeff and Greg, and share our condolences with their entire family. Ted Potter always exemplified the ideal of American neighborliness. As a firefighter he gave of himself every day, to make our community a better, safer place for everyone, and when that sometimes grueling work was done Ted was still there for his friends, ready to exert himself most strenuously if needed, with a positive, optimistic attitude and great sense of humor, yet well-grounded in common sense and practical, real-world experience. Ted was a very caring, gentle man, who was also one of the hardest working men I've ever met. He will be missed.
