THOMAS H. BIRMINGHAM
On Wednesday, December 22, 2010 of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Mary C. Birmingham; father of Lucile Birmingham, Angelo Birmingham, Joseph Birmingham, Kathleen Kelly and Bridget Birmingham; brother of William Birmingham. Also survived by nine grandchildren. He retired from the U.S. Park Service, was Chief Engineer of Charles County and was a published author. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. To Angelo and all of your family,

It's been many years for us making contact, and this is never a good reason. Ann brought your unfortunate loss to my attention yesterday. It is never easy to lose a loved one. My recollection is that you were very close to your father, a relationship that many people do not enjoy through their lives. Ann and I hope that the pain will subside quickly and the fond memories will soon overcome the sadness forever. Family is a sacred institution, and your loss, however sad, is but an ongoing part of the continuous growth that keeps the institution thriving.

Please accept our deepest sympathies. You are a good person, and of this, I expect good things will soon come your way.
