TREVOR WASHINGTON SWETT, JR. U.S. ARMY Col. (Ret.)
On Sunday, January 23, 2011, of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of the late Caroline Stewart Swett; father of Marjorie, Trevor III, and John Swett; father-in- law of Ann and Paula Swett; grandfather of Trevor IV, Brooks, Caroline and Wiley Swett. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Parish Kensington, 4001 Franklin Street, Kensington, MD 20895 on Saturday, January 29, at 5 p.m. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Marjorie: Please accept the most sincere condolences from your Nicaraguan friend. I knew you and your dad when I was a cadet at the Point and for a little while after graduation. To me your dad’s demeanor and behavior was the quintessential personification of what a senior US Army officer should be. I saw a recent photo of when the DC West Point Society presented him with a special award. I was amazed that he looked exactly the way I remembered him.

My dear Majorie - my faux "Uncle" Ted and "Aunt" Cay were much loved and are very much missed. I was sorry we did not get the dynamic classmate duo of '49 - Tut and Ted - back together for a repeat performance of the John Deere Gator Brigade at Lucknow Farm but at least we have the pictures for our treasures!
