Timmy & Barb Riley

One of the many wonderful gifts of marriage to Timmy is getting to know and love his family and friends. Your Mom opened her heart, not only to Connie and Timmy, but to me and our girls, as well. She truly was a warm and giving person and she will be missed greatly by all of the Rileys. We love you and we know Mrs. B's loving her new home in Heaven. Love to all.

Dear Bowen Family,
I will always remember your Mom's smile and laughter coming from the kitchen of the Thaddeus Room. I have so many wonderful memories of working with your Mom and Dad at St. Jude's. I will always remember your Mom opening her school to me as I was completing my teaching degree. She was a very special person and will be greatly missed!

My dear sweet cousins and your families. I am so greatful we have the memories of our mothers and the fun we had as children. Aunt Vicki was truly my other mother. I loved coming over to your house as a child, she was such a wonderful mom and homemaker. She always kept us kids busy with chores and got us involved in her work of helping others. Such a wonderful example of a giving, loving, caring, and special women. I am comforted by my faith and belief that Aunt Vicki has been reunited with her mother, Granna, and her father, Papaw, and all her sisters and her brother. I know they are all having a great family reunion and that they are living for eternity, praising the Lord and enjoying His blessings. My prayer for us is that we always remember the princapals and practices that the Jackson family lived by. I love you all and grieve with you the loss of a great women. Hugs and Kisses, Anne Miller Robertson (Tommy's daughter)

To the Bowen Family
My deepest condolences go out to you. Your Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother will always be remembered by the Melisano's. Vicki and Chris (our Mom) were best buddies back in the day and that kept all us kids close. Maybe now they will find each other again. "Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow."

Dear Martha, Cathy, Ann, Joan, and Judy...
I love your Mom. She was like my "other" mother. I have so many fun memories of her and your dad. I always made sure I stopped in to see her when I was in the DC area. Last time she wasn't home and it had been awhile before that. The camping trips, the sleepovers, the hanging out at your house, the working for her at St. Jude's carving the steamship rounds of beef for $15.00 a wedding. I can go on and on. You guys were my family. She was such a great lady. So much fun. She is at peace now, hanging out with Bo, Fred, and Tina. They are up there together playing bridge again. I will never forget her laugh... it was so infectious. She was someone that I looked up to, such a brave and strong woman and I admired her so much. She had a wonderful spirit and loving personality. She touched people in so many special ways. She will be missed. You all have my deepest sympathy. You are in my thoughts and prayers over the days to come. Love and peace, Marie Fair (Melisano, Belin)
A friend recently died and I read this prayer at his funeral and I think it is beautiful and want to share it with you. It is Native American. He was a strong believer in the Native American traditions... the Great Spirit is the God that we know and believe in.
Native American Prayer
O Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all the world
-hear me-
I come before you, one of your children.
I am small and weak.
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold
The red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
My ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise, so that I may know the things
You have taught my People.
The lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength not to be superior to my brothers,
But to be able to fight my greatest enemy,
Myself.
Make me ever ready to come to you, With clean hands and straight eyes,
So when life fades as a fading sunset,
My spirit may come to you without shame.

To the family of Victoria B. Bowen:
Please accept my sincere condolences. May you be comforted by the hope found in God's Word the Bible. It promises that one day the earth will be a place free of pain, mourning and death. May these positive scriptural thoughts bring you a measure of comfort and help you to cope and endure these most difficult days.
