VINCENT MICHAEL CROWLEY
On Friday, March 15, 2013, of Adelphi, MD. Beloved husband of the late Erma Crowley; father of Frances Crowley and Edward (Abby) Crowley; grandfather of Jesse and Lucas Crowley; great grandfather of Macaela Crowley; brother of Anne Laing, Thomas Crowley, and the late Jeanne Gallagher, Richard Crowley and Leo Crowley. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Camillus Church, 1600 St. Camillus Drive, Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Uncle Irv was a very giving and wonderful man who had a great impact on me and many of my closest friends during our time at the Naval Academy and beyond. I don't think I ever saw Irv with a smile and I never left him without getting a word of encouragement. Since I heard from Andy of Irv's passing, I have been remembering and sharing with my family many of the fun times we had at his house. He was so gracious to have us into his home and to share his life with us. I was blessed to know Irv and I will rember him always. Frances, Ed and Mrs. Laing we will keep you and Irv in our prayers.

Vince was a blessed man and he was certainly a blessing to all of us. His generousity and friendship through the Naval Academy sponsor program made a huge impact in my life. Uncle Vince led a full life and I am proud to have known him. Frances and Eddie I will keep you in my prayers durng this difficult time. God Bless you all.

Anne, Fran, & Eddie,
Not sure if you remember me but I was a midshipman roommate of Andy's in his second year. I'll never forget how quickly "Uncle Irv" took me in and made me feel welcome in his home. Those weekends away from school at his house were some of my fondest memories I have of my time there. There aren't enough good adjectives in the dicionary to describe Vince. Uncle Vincent, I loved all the stories we talked about and our common law enforcement expertise. Being one of the "Greatest Generation", you instantly had respect even before being a member of the family. You were kind and always were seen smiling. I am going to use your memory to be a better person and smile just a bit more. I miss your presence already. I know I have another angel looking over me every 8 hours I am at work. RIP.
