WALTER E. HAGGERTY LT. COL. U.S. Air Force (Ret)
On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, of Rehoboth Beach, DE and formerly of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of 64 years to Mary O'Connor Haggerty; son of the late Ann and William Haggerty; father of Mary Ann (Jon) Winborne, Kathleen (John) Ragland, Patricia (Greg) Sigler, Denise (Mike) McGowan, William (Barbara), Walter (Sydney), Brian and Michael (Roz) Haggerty; brother of Marie Sullivan and the late Charles, Edward, and Sister Dorothy Haggerty, SJ. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Avenue and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
