Dear Pop,

I want you to know how much that I love you and miss you. You were always there to help and teach me new things. I thank you for all of the encouragement and the big hugs and smiles that you always gave to me. Also, thank you for always being proud of my accomplishments. You were always there at my League of Dreams baseball games and my school ceremonies and the Turkey Dinner at Saint Elizabeth's School, just to mention a few. I look at your pictures every day and mom and I talk to you and feel your presence. You were the best grandfather ever!

Dear Pops,
It is hard to believe that you are gone. You were one of the most important male figures in my life. One of the best things you've done for my mother, my brother, and myself was when you let us live with you for months after we moved from New Jersey. That was one of the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me. You will be missed but I wish you good luck on your travels.

Your eldest grandson,
Joseph Young.

Dear Dad,

I'm back in Miami now, looking out my office window at the palm trees & sunshine. When I'm so far from home, I feel like everything is the same and you will be there at the Silver Spring McDonald's waiting to pick me up from the Metro on my next trip home. Still can't believe you're not there anymore, but am happy to know you're with me in spirit all the time now, and you don't have to hurt anymore. I'll see you again one day Pop. In the meantime, like you told me they say in Hawaii, "hang loose". Love, Bill

Dear Dad,

I remember this from when I was in first grade. You and I attended the Father and Daughter Banquet at church together. We were sitting and Mrs. Miller stood up and gave a slide show presentation and talked about many of the fathers and daughters from our church. I remember the picture of you and I at the beach and she read this to us, "Sun fun the work is done; dad, Norman to the beach did run; the sand the sea the salty air, the beauty with him is, Corinne Fehr." That is exactly the way that you lived your life. You worked so hard, but you also enjoyed your time so much with your family. I am forever greatful and honored to have you as my father. I will never forget all that you did for me. I love you so much.

Dear Eleanor and family, I will miss Mr. Fehr's smile and sense of humor. No matter how poorly he felt, he had something positive to day to brighten my day here at the doctor's office. He loved telling me about his grandchildren and how much he enjoyed them. He will be missed by all of us at Dr. Taubman's office. Ginny Leake, R.N.
