Walt and Helen, lovely, warm people. They were the grandparents of our son in law/daughter, Todd and Sonja Robertson. We first met them at Todd and Sonja's wedding in 1990 and immediately became "friends"; shared stories and laughter at that occasion. We last saw Walter in 2007, still laughing and sharing stories with us! These marvelous, gracious people will be missed by all whose lives they touched.

Walt and Helen were wonderful people, and Walt was the best boss I ever had and a great friend to all our family. He was one of the real giants of the National Archives and a creator of the institution we know today. We'll miss him greatly.

We are in Florida and cannot be at Walter's service. However, we want to express our sincere condolences to Walter Robertson's family and say that he and Helen were the finest of neighbors next door in Leisure World. We always looked forward to Walter's tomatoes which he loved to nurture and grow. A true Scotsman and fellow baseball fan. Dave & Joan Spokely
