My wife, Eileen, and I are very close friends with George Cranford and his family. George, we are so sorry to hear about your uncle Bill. We have never met him, as you know, but he is a very special person and he should be very proud of you because you and your family are the epitome of people that give kindness and love, always. I know he was a good mentor and you are blessed to have him in your lives.
I'm sure uncle Bill will be met by the other angels who have preceded him: Tuck, Annie and Joseph, just to name a few.
We will pray for Uncle Bill, you and your families during this sad time and pray that the love that surrounds you all will help you find consolation in the memories you enjoyed with him during his life.
Please give our sympathy to your families. You all have suffered with so many looses in such a short period of time. We feel such sorrow for you all. But, we will all be together again in the future and enjoy each in Heaven, as we did in life here on earth.
We love you George and your family and will keep you in our prayers.
Love, Eileen and Jack Mento

As a young man growing up Bill was a strong and positive influence in my life and a person that I greatly admired and looked up to.He provided me and our family with a quiet but unwavering sense of support and security and we knew we could always count on him. He was a good man who lived his life with strong convictions and beliefs and I will always remember him fondly and with love.

Uncle Bill I love you with all my heart, we as a family were blessed to have Men like you and Tuck in our lives. You and June will always have a special place in my heart. I look forward to the day when we all will see each other again. Thank you Bill for all you did for me, you will always be a great example of what kindness and love should be. I will miss the lunches we had at the office and you words of wisdom. We lost a great Father, uncle and friend here, but we gained a great angel in heaven. I love you!

To the man who played such a tremendous role in my life. You were a father when I had none, taught me to play baseball, took me hunting and showed me how to shoot a quarter out of a tree, gave me a place to come when I was scared, helped me gain control and wipe away the tears after mine & Jennifer's horrific bike accident and, most importantly, you & Aunt June introduced me to my husband of 28 years (your nephew) and finally made me a part of this wonderful family. I'll never forget how much love and fun you & Aunt June brought to me. You will be forever remembered in my son, who is named after you and by our entire family. Please give Aunt June a big hug for me and tell her I loved her just as much. I know you will be happy to be with Aunt June again. We will soooo miss you both! Love you lots, Kathleen Cranford

I will miss Uncle Bill. I remember him and Aunt June coming to visit especially at Christmas. We would all go into the woods to look for a tree and running cedar. I now take my children into the woods and always think of him and my Dad when I see a tree or running cedar that they would have liked. He was a good man. Laura Cranford, Owings, MD

I have no words. He was my rock. A kind, gentle, loving, funny, rock, and my best friend for many years. The person who showed by example how to be true to yourself, and what generosity and nobleness really look like. He fills my heart, and I loved being his daughter.

I could not have asked for a better father-in-law. Decades of fun times together to look back on that will make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. Bill was always a very gentle soul to me and he will be in my heart always.
