On Tuesday, August 16, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of 64 years of Mary M. Wetmore; father of Gail (Ray) Beaudoin, Joy (Robert) Hubbard, Jeannie Buonomo and Cathy Wetmore; grandfather of Marc (Sarah), Kate, Zach (Melissa), Rebecca, Paul, Stephanie and Megan; great-grandfather of Abby, Emily and Reese; brother of Dorothy Brower. To all of Bill's wonderful family, my deepest sympathies are with you. I'm very sad I did not see him recently, but I got the privilege of speaking with him by phone 2 or 3 weeks ago. My Dad and Bill were friends and worked together for many years with HMS, and when my Dad passed on I worked w/ Bill in the summers going through school. I always felt Bill was meant to stand in for my Dad while I got over my loss. He was a wonderful human being, who was funny , witty, dedicated to his family, and dedicated to doing fine work in his trade. I also think he read the Bible on a regular basis, and I'm certain God will take him in with open arms. It was my great fortune to have known Bill Whetmore, someone I'll never forget.
