To all of Bill's wonderful family, my deepest sympathies are with you. I'm very sad I did not see him recently, but I got the privilege of speaking with him by phone 2 or 3 weeks ago. My Dad and Bill were friends and worked together for many years with HMS, and when my Dad passed on I worked w/ Bill in the summers going through school. I always felt Bill was meant to stand in for my Dad while I got over my loss. He was a wonderful human being, who was funny , witty, dedicated to his family, and dedicated to doing fine work in his trade. I also think he read the Bible on a regular basis, and I'm certain God will take him in with open arms. It was my great fortune to have known Bill Whetmore, someone I'll never forget.
