William J. Wiscowiche Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2005.
To family and friends, Lance Cpl. William J. Wiscowiche was all about life, fun and energy _ not to mention his exuberance and affectionate nature. "He couldn''t just say hello," said family friend Theresa Kay, "he had to give you a big hug." His mother, Patricia, remembered the teen with his radio blasting who would jump out onto the driveway to dance to his current favorite song "singing along, and he couldn''t sing a lick," she said, laughing and crying at the same time. Wiscowiche, 20, of Victorville, Calif., died March 30 when his vehicle drove over an explosive device in Iraq. He joined the Marines in August 2001 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Wischowiche had been married to his high school sweetheart, Veronica, for a month before being sent back to Iraq. Their daughter, Arrianna, was born during his first tour in Iraq. Wiscowiche had been a football running back in high school. "He had a lot of heart and a lot of character it was always ''yes, sir'' and ''no, sir'' with Willie," said Leland Eudy, one of his football coaches. "He had a lot of heart, and gave football the same kind of dedication and commitment that he gave to serving his country." Other survivors include his father, Joseph.

I still think of Willie to this day. I had him in some of my high school classes and have memories of him serious, silly, funny. Great guy and it´s just un-real that he is not here. All respect and thanks to his family, he is not forgotten.

Willie was such a great boy when I knew him, always happy and willing to please, and enjoyed being the center of attenion ! Then he grew up to a wonderful young man and I lost touch with him and his family. Very sad . I missed so much with him and I to this day think of Willie and his family often and pray that his family has stayed close to God. I miss them all very much. Thank you my son Willie for everything you did to make me smile when you were young and also for every thing you did for our Country. I will always remember and love Willie and his family! RIP my son. Love, another one of your moms, cindy

I've known him since boot camp and we got stationed together. We called him "Whiskey" when we were in the same platoon @ the construction shop. He always gave me great advice on my Honda civic making it fast and furious since his was all racer-ed out. My grandmother met him and made him dinner once too. I miss him to this day and have his memorial service pamphlet on my bedroom wall. God Bless him and his family.

”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Over 1,800 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have some wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and only want you know that we care.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,

I can't even find the words...I lost my 19 year old son--5 Sept 2007, Balad, Iraq. I am absolutely devastated and I know that you are too...but find comfort in the fact that we will see our loved ones, our heroes again. Do I wish that I could trade places with my son? ABSOLUTELY not. He is in the arms of our Lord--"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away" ~Rev 21:4
What a wonderful thought...

I am so sorry for this loss. He sure sounds like a wonderful person-friend, son, husband and father. How sad for his loved ones.
He will never be forgotten. Remembered with gratitude.

August 8, 2007

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
