WILLIAM P. HANRAHAN, JR. COL US Army (Ret.) (Age 88)
On Friday, November 2, 2012, of Potomac, MD. Beloved husband of Marlis and the late Martha Ann Hanrahan; brother of Betty Gail Bilson; brother-in-law of Bill Bilson; father of Bill, Bob and the late Mike; father-in-law of Brenda, Nancy and Kathi; grandfather of James; step-father of Nena, Christina and Eric; step-grandfather of Chris, Eddie, Patrick, Karrie; step-great grandfather of Emilie. He was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam, was a recipient of a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts and was a leader in the Randolph Lion's Club. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Bill was a great neighbor and support member in the church. We will always remember his positive presence at the Elby Street/Vincent Terrace block parties of the 80's.

I am sorry for your loss. I know it is a difficult time even though not unexpected. Please know that he is in a better place,and knowing your dad directing and correcting them on how to do it the "right" way! I always respected him and am glad to have had him in my familys life while in Maryland. Soldier on Bill senior.
