It´s hard to believe Gail has been gone nearly 14 years. She was a wonderful friend, and I still miss her.

I was friends with Gail in the 1990s. I remember we took dance lessons together - ballroom, Latin, line dancing. Sometimes we´d drive to Rockville during the week for Latin dance lessons. We met through an Annapolis social group Young Anne Arundel Professionals. She was so much fun to be around. We lost touch when I moved to Gaithersburg. I moved to Charlotte in the fall of 1999.
I was going through some old files and ran across an invitation to a party Gail and I were planning at my home in Severna Park.
I wanted to reconnect with Gail.
I was so sorry to learn she passed in 2011.
If any of her friends or relatives read this post, please know even after all this time Gail is not forgotten.
As the Ancient Egyptians believed "to speak the name of the dead is to make them live again". Gail thank you for the wonderful times we had together.

I can't believe it's been almost nine years since she passed away. I still miss her. I think of her every single time I walk by her house around the corner.

Yes, it is still an ache to pass by her house. I still miss her, always will.

Is it really three years (on the 22nd)? I still feel the ache whenever I pass Gail's old house. My warmest regards to Gail's family--I hope you have all found a kind of peace and acceptance over the last three years--although I expect that all of us who knew Gail will always feel her absence.

August 25, 2013

I too pass her house almost every day and think of how much I miss Gail and our friendship. I will never forget her. Nancy

I too miss Gail very much. Every time I pass her old house I think of her and of Lia.

August 22, 2013

It's been two years since we lost Gail but not a day goes by that she's not in our hearts.

August 24, 2012

I also thought of Gail yesterday. Still miss her so much.

A year ago today my niece lost a mother, my father a daughter, and I a sister. Thinking of you today and always, soeur.

I do and will miss Gail so much. She was a close friend. Lia and my daughter were also close for a few years when they were little. Gail and I would go for walks and talk about the deep issues in our lives. I will miss those walks and the trusting closeness we shared.
Nancy Freiberg Robertson describes Gail so well. She was loving, warm, open, and unusually self-aware.
Here is an anecdote for you to enjoy. Several years ago, Gail, Lia, my daughter Vivien, and I spent a week in the Outer Banks. We especially looked forward to having a shrimp feast, and made a running joke that there was no such thing as too much shrimp. On the evening of the shrimp feast, we finally accomplished the impossible. We actually bought more shrimp than we could eat at one sitting. It was a wonderful evening and a wonderful week. Something I will always treasure.
With much love to Lia, Gail's parents and sister, and the rest of the family and friends who share this loss.

Gail was one of the best people I've ever known. She lived right around the corner for me and we met when my daughter was 5 and Lia was 1 at the playground at Ashburton. Both single moms, we kept up with our friendship over all these years. She even helped me bring my daughter to her first year of college at MICA in Baltimore in 2009. I had dinner with her a few weeks ago and saw her this past Thursday night. I am so glad I gave her a hug before I dropped her off and that she seemed happy and hopeful that night. Gail was always there for her friends and we shared a wonderful friendship that I miss terribly. She was smart and funny and kind and I will never, ever forget her. My sympathies go out to her family, especially her father, with whom I know she had a very special relationship.

What a shock! Haven't seen Gail for several years but was delighted to see she and Lia had such a wonderful life together. My condolences to my Cousin Carol, Uncle Vic and Lia. " Caren Roseman Libit, (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA)

I was so sorry to hear about Gail. Although we hadn't been in touch for many years, we were very friendly in school.
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

To Gail's family: We were deeply saddened to learn of Gail's death. Although we didn't see her often over the years, whenever we had a chance to get together or talk it was like no time had passed. She was a genuinely kind person and will be missed. And she introduced us to soft shell crabs :-]
