ALAN LOREN DEAN (Age 92)
On Thursday, December 2, 2010, ALAN L. DEAN passed away unexpectedly of a stroke. Beloved husband of 67 years of Vera Sisson Dean; loving father of Claudia "Vicki" Lewis and her husband, Daniel of Bethesda, MD, Diana Dean of Arlington, VA and Laura Salvay and her husband, Michael of Palos Verdes Estates, CA. Also surviving are his nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 4 p.m. at The Jefferson, 900 N. Taylor St., Arlington, VA 22203. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Reed College, 3203 SE Woodstock Blvd., Portland, OR 97202. Arrangements by MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of ARLINGTON.

Dear Vicki and Family
I'm sorry to not be able to be at the memorial service yesterday. I want to express my condolences to you and your family over the death of your Dad. You are in our prayers for God to give you the strength to deal well with this stressful time. You have not lost your Dad -- he will always be with you. Sincerely,
