Bob will be missed. We always liked seeing him at Jenn and Mel's Christmas party where he made you laugh, especially when he put on that fake red nose.
Best wishes during these difficult times

Dear Betsy and family, this was sad news to hear. It has been a long time since I saw you or Bob, because I have basically been retired. I remember all the meetings seeing you both there and speaking with you both. I think of you both often and Dave always reminds that he spoke with you at meetings.
I see Bob was involved in more than just the cemetery business.
I offer my sympathy to you and all your family,
with friendship and compassion,

Mr. Gottberg helped to inspire me towards getting my Eagle Scout badge with Troop 63. He was always great with all of the kids in the troop. I saw him and heard alot about what he was doing through his Friend Bob Cutter and my Father who used to see him at Mass at St. Anselms. He was a vital part of so many different communities in his life. I hope that I can hope to give back as much as he did. I wish peace for his wife Betsy and his son Joe at this hard time.

God bless Robert A. Gottberg. Gott is always with him. Bob was a cornerstone of our six-year Sudbury Peace Vigil. President Obama ended our Iraq war before we lost Bob.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
