HAMPTON - Michael Harris, 56, of Hampton, passed away on Dec. 25, 2014 following a brief illness. He was born and raised in Scotland Neck, NC and is the father of Myles Harris. A funeral service will be held 11am, Tue., Dec. 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Viewing will be held from 12:30-6:30 pm, Mon. at the funeral home. O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

I worked with Mike at The Mariners Museum. He was and is an inspiration to me. It seemed no matter what the circumstances he kept smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with the family - May the Lord bless you and keep you.
