In respect of the loss of Pte. Demetrios Diplaros, Cpl. Mark Robert McLaren, and Warrant Officer Robert John Wilson.

There are times that hurt so very much
That nothing seems quite real
There are moments that reach out and touch
Truly know how sad we feel

This pain, this loss, so hard to bare
Heart’s empty pocket void
We reach out to you to show we care
For the efforts they’ve employed

For these were men who stepped forth
To make our world a better place
Reaching out to help those in need
To erase the pain upon their face

Tis said by all across our land
That we’re so very proud
For they reached out, lent a hand
Beneath terror’s darkened cloud

So willingly they’re duty done
Now such a tragic time
Each a hero, a Canadian son
Lord we pray you’ll be so kind

Reach out oh Lord please take them home
Place them gently in your care
For they stepped forth for those alone
Into a turmoil few would dare

Your efforts will not be forgotten. You are Canada, and you and your fellow troops are our heart.

Pte. Demetrios Diplaros, we knew you not, but our prayers reach out for you, your loved ones, friends, and fellow soldiers. We do, so dearly, thank you and your loved ones for your efforts towards making our world a better place.
