Anne E. Thomas Arre, 66, of Scranton, died Wednesday morning in Geisinger Mountain View Care Center. She and her husband, Angelo Arre, celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in October.
She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late Willard and Elizabeth Seinburg Thomas. She was educated in Scranton schools and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was employed as a certified nurse's aide at Geisinger-Lake Scranton and she also did private duty nursing.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a foster parent for more than 10 years. She opened her home to children in need. She would do anything for anyone, especially her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Also surviving are two sons, Eric Witkowski and wife, Adrienne, Dunmore; and Joseph Savero and companion, Brianna Titus, Scranton; three stepdaughters, Luciana Medric and husband, Tom, Throop; Erica Arre, Dunmore; and Stacey Batzel and husband, Matthew, Scranton; grandchildren, Mackenzie Witkowski, Dunmore; and Kameron Savero, Scranton; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton, by the Rev. Joseph Sica. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements provided by the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton.
