I worked for Don at the Locy Chevron gas station in Fletcher Hills back in 1988. I had a tumor taken out of my spinal column in January of that year when I was 16. In Feb, I spoke with Don about a job. He encouraged me to finish physical therapy so that I was able to walk normal, etc. I did so and thankfully, I left working at a fast food restaurant and worked for Don from May, 1988 until early September. Thank you Don for that opportunity and rest in peace....

We got to know Don when he was operating the Chevron station on
Fletcher Parkway and followed him to El Cajon Auto Repair. He was a gentle man with a great sense of humor. Rest in peace, Don.

To the Locy Family,

I first met Don in January 2006, when he applied for a position with the Senior Volunteer Program at the California Highway Patrol office in El Cajon. After interviewing him I determined he was just the kind of person we were looking for to represent our program.

He went through our Academy training program, and was well liked by his peers.

Unfortunately he had to leave the program, but we remember what a great attitude he displayed.

On behalf of all our Management Staff, our Officers and Senior Volunteers, I extend to your family our Deepest Sympathy's on your Loss. May he Rest In Peace.

We will miss you, Don. You were the best neighbor we could have hoped for...
