Dear Bugs - I am saddened to hear about your mother's passing. Please know that I am thinking about you and your family, and am hoping that she went peacefully. - Anne

Peace by with Dorothy's family at this sad time. I am writing this for the Payton family, who knew the Ponchetti family. Le and Helen Payton and their son Jim lived in Mesa Grande for many years. Le drove the school bus from home, picking up students from the reservations along the way to the schools in Julian for a time, and worked at the Mesa Grande Store, too. He later became Business Manager for the Julian School District. I am the wife of Jim and we lived in Poway, CA. All the Payton's are deceased, except for me and my family. Jim died of cancer in 1988; he was a year younger than Dorothy. I remember the Payton family speaking of the Ponchetti family over the years. When I saw Dorothy's notice of death in the newspaper, I knew the name right away. I am thinking of you now. Again peace be with you all.
