I'm so sorry to learn of Earl's passing. He was a kind, thoughtful man.
September 1, 2014
I only just learned of Earl's passing as I was out of town in June. Earl was a mentor and friend at SDSU, someone for whom I have the highest respect and admiration. Not only was he knowledgable, kind and ethical, he was one of the NICEST, most generous people I have ever known. He was a devoted family man and was very active in the community. We used to tease him about his gorgeous blue twinkling eyes, calling him "the Paul Newman" of the office. Few would know or remember that Earl was the Dean of Men at SDSU when there was such a thing. He was always in good shape and played tennis for years with a friend and kept track of who had won the most games over a period of decades. We stayed in touch for some years after he retired and I always inquired about this cumulative score and we would share a chuckle. My sympathy to his family as I know he will be missed. He was a real peach of a guy in every way.

My condolences to the family during this sad time. I have not seen them since I was a small child but I remember Mr Peisner as a kind, gentle spirit with a twinkle in his eyes. Take care and God Bless

I was so saddened to learn of the passing of such a wonderful and classy gentleman as Earl Peisner. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Earl for 16 years at SDSU in Counseling Services where I was a secretary/receptionist. He was always one of my favorite people...always pleasant, kind and caring. He was consistently nice and the students loved him, as did all of his colleagues. My deepest sympathy to his family. This is a great loss. I hope that your memories of Earl will help to sustain you during this difficult time. You are in my prayers.
