Elsie was a dear, dear family member that I was so honored to know and love. She lived her life with grace, a personal love of her church and God, and showed unwavering resilience despite the deep, lonely pain of losing both her daughters and her beloved husband. I told her many times that she had a profound effect on myself and my family. One of my son's favorite meals is one Elsie taught me...Rouladen. She was a strong role model living independently up until recently. Of course, she didn't like to hear that 'silly' role model stuff... preferring that I admire her roses or discuss with her her latest work-out with her trainer! Elsie, may you rest within the aroma of your beautiful rose garden in Christ's loving arms surrounded by those loved ones who have gone before you. You will always be in our hearts. We love you, Elsie!

Her spunk and determination to keep herself in good health and spirit.

As a Mall Walker at Grossmont Center she logged 10,000 miles long ago and then kept going.

I am happy that I got to know her.

I would aslo like to include Marge Dyke in this entry. Another Mall Walker that knew Elsie and admired her. She is sight impaired so I am adding her thoughts to this.
