Not sure what to say?

Kelly you are truly missed. I remember many many memorable rides with you in the southern cruisers riding club San Diego chapters. He was not only a great rider, he helped many other riders understand safety he taught me what to do during a lightning storm when riding which I have passed on to many other riders. Enjoyed traveling long trips and I remember talking to him one day and then a few days later hes telling me how he had just put several thousand miles on his motorcycle.
RIP Brother

I am Kelly's oldest brother. We only saw each other about once a year, maybe if I was in So Cal or Kelly was in Central AZ. After Kelly's passing, I came to San Diego with Anthony Wier, another brother, to take care of business. I just now read all the entries here. After the first two or three, I am crying like a baby. Unlike Kelly, I am not a people person. However, I would like to thank each and every poster for the kind words about Kelly, he was a good kid.

Kelly and I had some mutual riding friends and I finally got to meet him at The Parade of Lights in Havasu last December. We hit it off right away and spent the evening in the hotel parking lot drinking and talking bikes. My next ride with him will have to wait. He will be missed...RIP Kelly

Kelly and I met at a gas station one day and began talking about motorcycles. Back then he was riding a smaller cruiser. He joined the club I rode with and was a respected member of our group. He was soft spoken, not a man of many words. His sense of humor was sly, he'd bait you then wait for you to get his meaning which was usually deeper than just the words spoken. He was not a stranger to my home and when he became First Officer of our club it was with great pride that he took over the reins. Most recently we met for lunch by his Cal Trans office, he enjoyed Mexican food and a combination plate was his usual order. He was always talking about getting his condo "in order". Kelly. my friend, you lived life on your terms and you shared it with many. I guess I'll stop looking for your gold "Wing" on the road like I usually do. Hope you find a warm place to rest and your friends will think about how nice you were to us. I'll miss you K-Man.

I met Kelly through riding. We had many conversations about all of his interesting rides and hobbies. I feel so lucky that I got to meet him for lunch just a couple months ago and hear how much he had been enjoying his retirement. I am very sad that he's gone. He still had so many things he wanted to do. But boy, did he enjoy life while he was here. RIP Kelly! My condolences to the family.

I had the privilege of working with Kelly at San Diego County field surveys. Never really got to know him well as he was an 'office puke' and I worked in the field. Always said 'Greetings' in the morning. Sad to hear about nice guys passing early.

This picture is appropriate because when Kelly would visit, the car would come out, and his bike would come in. We would sit in the garage, drink beer, and discuss psychology and philosophy. When I was in San Diego, we would have breakfast at the Waffle Spot and talk bikes. As advanced of a rider that he was, he never preached. Not once. Kelly would have been a great professor. He was very smart. Loved bridges and knew a lot about their design. Polite to a fault. As others have mentioned, a great photographer. The bay area was only a stop for Kelly on his way to another adventure. I would usually ride out with him fifty miles or so, shake hands, and he would be on his way. Take care Kelly. My thoughts are with you.

I rode with Kelly in the southern cruisers. He loved to ride and safety always came first. I remember when he purchased his Kawasaki Vulcan nomad. Within four days he had already put over thousand miles on the bike and been to the Grand Canyon. He talked me into purchasing my Vulcan Nomad. And a few years later he purchased Goldwing. He was a great man and will definitely be missed. RIP

Kelly was a really great guy, he was always showing me pictures from his travels and always took time to chat. It was such a shock to me to learn of his death. The world is a sadder place because of it.

Kelly was my buddy, and he will be greatly missed. I enjoyed working in the neighboring cubicle and talking during our breaks. He always had something interesting to talk about and a story to tell you. He would laugh at his own jokes, and he loved to travel. He would always be planning his next getaway or adventure. He was a good man and a good friend, I will miss you Kelly

Kelly was a man who was always "going for it". Whether it was trying out for a role with his fine singing voice in a community play, or doing a wheelie with his Gold Wing, he was just never content to sit on the sidelines. Before he bought his own bike, we enjoyed renting Harlies and touring San Diego backcountry highways.
A world traveler, it was fascinating to hear his tales of people/places he visited off the beaten track. He was more interested in finding native cultures than tourist "hot spots".
My family and I will sure miss him.
