I did not know Chef Greg but I am the widow of Executive Chef, Jean-Louis Jalouneix who just passed away March 23, 2013. Jean-Louis was the Chef who opened Wally's in l976 with Wally Botello and worked there for 27 years. I send my condolences to your family as I am still mourning the loss of my own husband. Greg must have worked with Jean-Louis at Wally's Desert Turtle. I am sorry for your loss. Gina Sullivan-Jalouneix ginarealtor@aol.com

Greg always made my fishing trips an extra special one. He helped me land my first Yellowfin Tuna. I learned from Greg not to raise the rod too high keeping it low during a battle with the fish. Most of my yearly fishing trips, Greg cooked a fresh piece of fish I caught on the way back to port. One trip, he cooked me a fillet of Skipjack Tuna and this unpopular fish was delicious. He would decorate my plate with chunks of mango with salsa along with a scoop of rice. We kept in touch since I live in Arizona and one of the emails from him was about the Dorado on how fast they grow. Greg said that there was a few baby Dorado in the bait tank on this 10 day trip and he literally checked them four days later and they were already larger in size.

Greg and I were very close for a very long time. I still consider him family. I am so sorry for the loss of our friend. Greg was always cheerful and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed by many.

Dear Denise and all of Greg's family, Bob and I and ALL of the Food Factory are deeply saddened to hear that Greg passed away. We count ourselves as some of the lucky people to have known Greg. He always thought of us when there was a good haul on fish and would run by and drop off fish for us with barely time for us to say "Thanks" to him. Even when he would just drop by to say hi or have breakfast, Bob would always tell me, "Greg was in this morning".He was the nicest man with a beautiful smile- we won't forget his kindness and friendship he offered us. We send our condolences to all of you and share in your sorrow and loss. AND Greg, where ever you are, it's a nicer place now. Bob and Lori Bailey and The Food Factory gang.
