Darla was an inspirational friend and co-worker to me. Whenever there was a problem I couldn't figure out, she had the unique ability to break it down, examine the pieces and find a solution quickly and confidently. She was the hardest working person I'd ever met. She left no rock unturned, and was so thorough and concise – all attributes that made her the best NC Programmer that I ever had the pleasure of working with.
She was a book-end to a dependable and confident team of programmers that I feel proud to have been a part of.
Darla's love of her son Shawn and her Grandchildren Trentyn and Tyler was so evident in how often she'd speak of them, displaying their pictures and traveling to be with them. I've known Darla well before her Grandchildren were born, and it was heartwarming to see Darla basking in the newly found loves in her life and transforming her own life to being such an amazing Grandmother.
I will miss her sense of humor and no-nonsense attitude in life. A good friend and co-worker could not be found and she will be missed by us all.
My deepest sympathies go out to Charlie, Shawn and the boys, Mike, June and all of Darla's family.
