Without a doubt, you were an astonishing and amiable man. I met him when I attended Wilson Middle, he provided us with every effort he could give in order to allow us as teens to persevere in every way possible. He treated us with the upmost respect and dignity. We, as then we were children, we hard to handle on field trips and etc, Frank always seemed to have high patience. Through all that he did and taught us, I will forever be grateful to have been apart of this man's life. It's not sorrow that fills my heart to have barely heard the unfortunate news, but memories of how this young man served a struggling community and its future prospects, for he allowed us the chance to be SOMETHING in life. Once again, I will be forever grateful. "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13. THE passage to describe Mr. Arrington, full of faith, hope and LOVE.
Our deepest sympathy to the Arrington family. May Frank rest in peace.

I am very sad to learn that Frank has passed away. I know Linea and his family will miss him terribly. May all your memories fill your heart and help with your loss.
I went to school with Frank in the 8th grade and never forgot him through all these years. It is so nice to learn what a tremendous, caring human being he became. As a young girl I remember how handsome he was too. My Heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones. Jackie O'Neill, classmate
Frank Arrington was a Board Member, Big Brother and Friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than 34 years. His indomitable spirit and resolve to make the world a better place for children and others was evident to all who knew him. Frank encouraged everyone to do more, care more and strive to be better people in his own special, gentle style. To him complacency was not an option.
Frank never shied away from challenging fellow board members and staff to rise to the occasion when Big Brothers Big Sisters faced tough issues. He was also first in line to let people know when they did a great job accomplishing what they initially thought impossible. His life was the epitome of what it means to be a mentor. He was always there, consistently caring and cheering people on.
Frank Arrington was a man who lifted others up and made sure to tell them "job well done". We now say to our friend, Frank Arrington, "Life well done".
Deborah Condon, President BBBS of SDC
He was a true gentleman and outstanding professional. He leaves a marvelous legacy to benefit so many in the community. Last time I saw Frank, a number of years ago at a conference, he dismissed compliments on the success of San Diego Funding with, "Oh, that's all Linnea's doing."
Deepest sympathy for his passing and warm regards to Linnea and the family.

I will always miss my big brother Frank but am fortunate to have so many great memories. He was a wonderful son to our parents and as they died before he became the successful man he was they were very proud of the man he was becoming. Although Frank and I lived in different worlds in the same town no one was more proud of his many achievements and the man he was than me. Little brother Ted
This wonderful man made a huge difference in our community with his generous giving of himself and through philanthropy as well as being a family man worthy of being emulated.
