This is to truly to the most amazing, funniest person I've ever met! Gil, Jim "Juice" Johnson, John 'JAK' King, Fred Thompson (the Guadalajara National Philharmonic - 3 people in the band)I've ever met! There was a convergence when we all worked at Toy-Co during the Xmas Season in 1969: I just returned from Viet Nam, Gil was starting his career with SDFD, Juice was - well, he was Juice.

There were 5 of us - we went surfing at Estero Beach: the rest of the story is too funny to post here. One of the best memories I still re-live when I want to feel good . . . . .

Please call my cell phone (619-252-2912- for a complete detail of our surf trip, crossing the TJ border back to San Diego was way too funny to describe in detail here! The little doggy story . . . . .

I hadn't talked to Gil for a couple of years - it was emotional this morning when I read the obits. My thoughts are with Gil's family, his fire dept. brethren, OMBAC, and the rest of us who spent great times, great stories (god, we would lie just to talk.

Bless you Buddy . . . . . You will be missed.
