I always met Joe at his car with a glass of Old Crow when he visited Rick Beatty. There were many good times, and always a gentleman. Carlyne Stuckey

Uncle Joe was loved by so many Minneapolis relatives, most now gone. He is with them, and they all are having a huge never-ending party in heaven. To my California relatives, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you, particularly my god-mother, Marijane. You will all meet again. I pray that your love for him and your memories keep his spirit alive in your hearts. God bless all of you.

Much love,

Milovanému Jožkovi!
Nech sa jeho duch vznesie k velkým príbytkom, kde nájde vecný odpocinok. Sprevádzame ho svojimi modlitbami. Pane, nebud mu sudcom, ale spasitelom.

Joe - although I said it many times while you were alive, I offer you my thanks once again for your kindness towards us. Your frequent trips to our house always meant an interesting conversation and some great handiwork to keep the place running.

We were fortunate to have met and known Joe while he was visiting his sister Terry's cabin. We had many good talks on "the porch". We will miss him and his great bass and musky stories. We now know we have another angel in heaven watching over us all. Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Although we never personally met, Joseph and Jackie have left the world a better place by the way they raised their daughter, Marijane. I imagine she got from them her spirit of public service, her intrinsic goodness, and her cheerful outlook that boosts the spirits of all who know her. I hope the Pollaks rest together in peace on that beautiful Pt. Loma hill over which the sun sets in all of its splendor.

I will always remember the man who drank in the morning up at Theresa's cabin and had a cigar stuck in his sock for later. The oldest of the family is now in heaven with his loved ones having a grand reunion. Uncle Joe you will be deeply missed by many.
