Russell, I will always remember the past and wonderful times. You were such a kind and gentle man. Your friendship meant a lot to me and I will never forget you. I know the Lord was waiting for you with open arms. You brought a lot of joy and happiness to all your family and friends. Can hear your laughter now. We will all miss you. Rest in peace and I'm sure we will all meet up with you again. Your Friend Always, JoAnn P. Thompson

here is a poem i like to send to people i care about that have lost someone they love... I hope you like it and it may give you some comfort in your time of sorrow.

THOSE I LOVE... AND THOSE WHO LOVE ME
Author: Unknown
WHEN I AM GONE, RELEASE ME, LET ME GO
I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SEE AND DO.
YOU MUSTN'T TIE YOURSELF TO ME IN TEARS
BE HAPPY THAT WE HAD SO MANY YEARS.
I GAVE TO YOU MY LOVE, YOU CAN ONLY GUESS
HOW MUCH YOU GAVE TO ME IN HAPPINESS.
I THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE YOU EACH HAVE SHOWN.
BUT NOW IT'S TIME I TRAVELED ALONE.
SO GRIEVE AWHILE FOR ME IF GRIEVE YOU MUST.
THEN LET YOUR GRIEF BE COMFORTED BY TRUST.
IT'S ONLY AWHILE THAT WE MUST PART
SO BLESS THE MEMORIES WITHIN YOUR HEART.
I WON'T BE FAR AWAY, FOR LIFE GOES ON
SO IF YOU NEED ME, CALL AND I WILL COME.
THOUGH YOU CAN'T SEE OR TOUCH ME, I'LL BE NEAR,
AND IF YOU LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART, YOU'LL HEAR
ALL MY LOVE AROUND YOU SOFT AND CLEAR.
AND THEN, WHEN YOU MUST COME THIS WAY ALONE.
I'LL GREET YOU WITH A SMILE AND A
“WELCOME HOME.”

Until we meet again ...

Your family will keep your memory bright by sharing stories with all of us of your time on earth - we hope you are dancing on the clouds and having a beer up there with our Dads - no matter when a Dad leaves, it's way too soon. Love Karen & Lana

Russ, was one of the fairest and most respectable Nightclub Owners I ever had the privilege of working for. He was a class act and all around nice and kind person. He was instrumental in launching the success of our Musical Group "Nemesis". Russ was great guy and I have so many fond memories of Russ and the old days at the Navajo Inn. RIP Pisan. My thoughts and prayers go to the Asaro family. I knew Russ for many years when he owned the "Navajo Inn' which was a nice place to socialize with the San Carlos neighbors.
