My sincere thoughts and prayers go to Jeff, Jack, Susan, Laurie and family on your mother's transition. I, little Danny from down the road am holding kind thoughts of your mom as I remember her loving ways from the 1960's when I played around your home so many times as a youth.
Love, Dan

We here in Grass Valley, California remember Shirley Swiney with fondness and great respect. She was a kind, warm and helpful neighbor for the years we were growing up and maturing in the Granite Hills area of El Cajon Valley.

I don't know if this is the same Miss Swiney I had as my second grade teacher at Fletcher Hills Elementary many many years ago. If not, please forgive my mistake. If this is the correct Miss Swiney I wanted to share that she was my favorite teacher. She really cared for me and loved me. I was especially pleased to know that she loves Jesus as do I.

Shirley was one of our best friends of all. We had 22 great years of friendship, but most of all we felt we were all family. 11 years of Ministry at First Baptist Church of the Willows alone side of my wife Sherry & I Ken ministry in Music & Senior Ministries. We all Started a Christian Bookstore, Travel with Veggie Tales on Tour many Dinners for the choir and all those service we did at Victoria Health Care At Sonrise Prime Time Choir, Prime Time Sunday School, The Witness Program, Christmas & Easter Programs and so much more. I remember the time Shirley was house sitting our home with our cats and dogs and she was in her Pajamas lock the door and had to climb in through the window with all the dogs and cats seated in a line watching her. Or the time Shirley and I traveled to NC 2800 miles in 2 days and many time she would climb over the seat and say nap time.

Most of all Sherry & I remember the special time of dinner, Bible studies, christian TV and our prayer time together. She was truly a lady of God. After calling her 2 and sometime 3 times a day from NC for 7 years I find myself calling still. 22 years of christian friendship is hard to just forget about.

We love you Shirley.

We love and care about all of the family Jack, Jeff, Laurie, and Susan and everyone.

As we start a new chapter of Ministry in
Music and Senior Ministry to help smaller church and Gideon Ministry. Sherry & I have pledge 1,000 Bible in Honor and Memory of Shirley.

Thank you Jesus for the Special time you gave us with Shirley.

Laurie-- Even though I didn't know your mom, I feel as though I have in helping you through this life stage with her. She had a full life. She had loving and caring children around her. She passed over with the knowledge of that love. God bless. Elaine Northcutt
