Gloyer, Judy 03/14/1944 ~ 10/05/2013 LEMON GROVE -- Judy Gloyer passed away Saturday after a seven year courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of William and Agnes Wilson, she was a San Diego native, graduating from Crawford High School ('62) and San Diego State where she majored in Biology and received her teaching credential. She met her husband Allen at the First Evangelical United Brethren Church at 33rd and Meade where they were married November 26, 1965. Judy taught school in National City for two years and then became a full time mother after her two sons were born. When the boys went to grade school she returned to teaching as a substitute for the next 30 years in the Lemon Grove School district. She enjoyed being home by the time the boys returned from school. She enjoyed family camping, backpacking, road trips across the country, cruises, and travels to Europe, South America, Mexico, Egypt, and Israel. Judy is survived by her husband Allen of 47 years; her two sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Thuy, and Jason and Nuray; seven grandchildren: Emma, Baden, Rebecca, Tobin, Katherine, Wade, and Solenne; and sister and brother-in-law Jane and Chris Wittkow. She was loved dearly by all. Visitation is Wednesday, October 9 from 4-8 p.m. at Greenwood and the funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10 in the Salli Lynn Chapel at Greenwood.
