Jan is my cousin, we only saw each other a few times and then lost contact. We finally reconnected the last few years and had plans to 'hang out' this summer and get to know each other better. Even when she was sick, she showed interest in my family and life. What a huge loss for me and anyone who knows her and would of met her. I did however feel closer to her and got to know her better through all her friends and family yesterday at her 'Celebration of Life'. We'll have to hang out later Jan....

It's always sad to hear of another Colt's passing. Peace be with you, Jan, and your entire family.

A true caregiver, Jan cherished her friends, welcomed strangers and most of all loved and looked after her family. A wonderful hostess, every holiday, birthday or just a weekend get together was made into a special occasion. Good food, good company and sharing with her friends and family, gracious that woman could set a beautiful table! In a giving spirit, it was usually she who would have us all hold hands and share a blessing. She was creative and generous with her time and talents, spending hours in her "crafts room". She lived a lovely life with a good heart, and will be missed. Good-Bye Dear Jan.
