Dad, you were the best man ever. Your family came first. You worked so hard to make sure your family was taken care of. You had a sense of humor and loved playing pranks, which I had the good future of being a recipient of. You really never took much time for yourself and you weren't much for long conversations, but once again I was fortunate that the two of us had some great conversations. I often wished and prayed that you didn't have to go through your illness that took so much from you. It cheated you out of those retirement years and it cheated all of us out of that quality time we would have got to spend with you in those retirement years. Thank goodness for Jodi, Jim and Jamie and your grandkids that would pack you and Mom up and take you on adventures. I felt privileged that you came to visit us on your 80th birthday and I could give you that 80th birthday party.I hope your enjoying your new home now free to walk and talk again. I know your there with all our family and friends who passed before you. Just remember to leave a light on for the rest of us as someday we will all be together again. I love you Dad. Andi

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. My Uncle Jim was so proud of his family. He beamed every time he talked about each and every one of you. Love to all of you. He will be missed.

My sympathy to all of you. We'll surely miss another from this fine family. When the obit mentioned he was born in Moline, my mind went back to your Grandma Clark. When we were crossing the I-74 Bridge from Iowa and approaching the IL side (after one of many trips to Delta), your Grandma stated, "this is where Jim was born.'. I said, "here on the Bridge', she laughed, having had her joke, and said, 'No, but the house where he was born was torn down when they erected the bridge." Didn't know if you knew that.
Love you and thinking of you all, Aunt Darlene
