Joe was a great guy. Always so friendly and so nice. I've known Joe and Bettie for so long. It was so nice that he called her the dancing queen. I was just talking to my son, Vaile, about Bettie and Joe and we called the old phone number but it was disconnected. We tried to look them up on the internet and found his obituary. We are so sorry to have missed the opportunity to speak with both of you. Bettie, please give me a call if you can at 208-514-3148. All my love,
Cathy Shelton

I remember Joe and his wife from the physical fitness and yoga class I taught. They were both such warm and kind people. He always had a beautiful smile for everyone, and will be missed by many.

My favorite uncle, Joe, always had a smile and a hug for everyone he met. Loving, dedicated, and zany, my Uncle Joe had an insatiable zest for life and an unparalleled love for his wife, whom he referred to as "The Dancing Queen". I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit with him last year, and happy to hold onto those memories of him. I will miss Uncle Joe dearly, and he will always hold a very special place my heart.

My first golf lesson in '73 at CV Muni through a navy scholarship at SWC. A real gentleman that was very good for golf. RIP Joe & thanks
