I will always remember your smile and the way we played. I am sure you're playing and having a blast right now, too. I hope those who feel left behind can know that you are ever present watching over us (or should I say Overwatching us?). Thank you, my friend.

PS
I don't have a scanner but I would love to post the photo of the night you had me dye your hair black. It was a great plan because everyone knows I don't date blondes. It still didn't get you a date, but it was extremely funny. You were always a gentleman and that won you a special place in my heart. Much love always and forever.

My heart hurts. I've always referred to Matt as "my favorite ex-boyfriend" and our sparse, random connections over the past 10 years always left me feeling happy, settled, and grateful to have a friend like him. The brief weekend I spent with your family years ago is one of my cherished memories, and while I know your hearts are breaking, I have no doubt that Matt looks down on all of us and wishes us joy
