Words are shallow cups that can't
Contain the tears we shed when we think of Earth without the songs of our Bobby. Yet he is still a song in our lives, a neverending melody of love and praise of God. So close was he to the angels, that they touched him. So near to the saints that they wove their goodness like ribbons of many colors throughout his spirit. Words are too shallow, and grief too deep. But our love for each of you, our beloved Murphy family, is deeper still. We shall miss him so, and yet Bobby is nearer now than ever. His radiant soul will light the way out of this bottomless quarry of sorrow, and into God's brilliant joy. And we shall all be together, in song, at the very end. Love, Terry Tucker Hinkley, Bob's cousin.

As many others have, we too had the privilege of not only working with and knowing Bob, but having him grace our wedding with his musical talents. There was never a bad day for Bob, the proof was his everlasting infectious smile. Our thoughts are with all of Bobs family.

My most prominent memory of Bob was of him singing, next to my father (Tom Heiliger), at my grandfathers (Dan McGillicuddy) funeral. His caring smile was a beautiful thing to receive in a time of need. Bob, also sang for my wedding. He was a very busy man, but he understood our need for a musician (My dad past away a year before, and he was our family musician). I am so proud to be blood related to such an incredible man! His example of how to live a Christ centered life has touched me so deeply. He loved everyone, and was such a charismatic person. I wish I had more time with Bob. I am happy that he has achieved what we all are working for, his place in heaven. He is there with all our loved ones, and I can’t wait to join them when my time comes. If I can follow Bob’s example, I know I’ll reach heaven. My heart goes out to all his family and friends, who have suffered the loss of our beloved Bob. I send my love and prayers!

We now realize how fortunate we were to have met and been graced with the dignity and merit of such an extraordinary soul. My sincere hope Bob, is that you have left us with enough inspiration to understand and carry on the message that you so elegantly were trying to teach and inspire in us all.

We will miss you Bob, your wit, your charm, and your humor. We feel fortunate to have known you, if for only a short period of time. My kids and I learned so much from you and that for we are eternally grateful.
