Having just learned we are sad, but so joyful to know Col. Dodge for over 28 years. Our daughter Julie is serving in the USAF as a Lt. Col. having been nominated for the USAFA by Col. Dodge, his assistance in her career has been invaluable. Our affection for he and Hilda continues, they remain a part of our family.

I too served with Col Dodge in the USAF Officer Admissions Program. Very much like my father, who was also a pilot in WWII, Bob was a good & honorable man, who I admired & respected. Like so many of his generation, he had the character and qualities of leadership that made this a better place. My condolences to his wife and family. I will miss him.

Who knew Sgt. Dodge had another life when I met him as a rookie cop in 1974? He was a great organizer of all the officers in his job as court liaison. It was nice to work many years later with son Peter and meet his daughter Marianne on the bus. So, as you can see, the Dodge Family was all over San Diego. I'm so sorry for your loss but happy he lived an exciting, long life. I'll never forget him coming to my retirement party in 2006. Who would have thought as a new cop in the 1970's Sgt. Dodge would later come to my retirement after my career in law enforcement of nearly 35 years. May his memory be eternal.
