It was a great pleasure to meet "The Man" in spring training. He always had advise to those whom seeked him out. When you think of St. Louis baseball...Musial will be the first one mentioned. Sure Dizzy Dean and Branch Rickey were amoung the first to greet him at the Gates. Thanks for the memories and RIP.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Will be forever missed, best baseball player ever!!
Greatest Cardinal ever - I grew up learning baseball by watching Stan play. St. Louis has lost a truely great person and a baseball legend.
I am just one of thousands of heart-broken in Cardinal Nation. Godspeed Stan, for you were loved by millions! Not just for your on field talents . . . .but, just for being the person you were!
There are baseball players and then there is STAN MUSIAL. R.I.P. STAN (THE MAN) MUSIAL.
You will be missed... Stan the Man, wish I could have seen you play.
The Love's
Thank you Stan, you played hard and with integrity, something we have lost in our world today.....you and your baseball generation were my father's heroes, and through a mutual love of the game became some of mine....RIP Mr. Musial a class act
Always my favorite player. A lifelong cardinal fan, I remember meeting him and Red outsie of Wrigley field when I was a kid in the late 40's.
