I had the pleasure of being Ben's supervisor, in the Facilities Department at Prov, during the 90s. Ben was tasked with re-lamping and ballasting large areas of the hospital pretty much solo. It was a years long and repeating project and Ben got it done, usually with a smile!
To Rose and his family, my condolences.

Our hearts are broken in the NICU at Providence. Ben was part of our "family" here. We counted on him and he always came through to fix just about anything in our vast and complex workplace. Ben was loved and respected so much. We can't imagine Providence without him and will never forget his smile and friendly banter, as he kept everything running so smoothly for our babies and their families. Our thoughts are with you, Rose, and with the entire family. May your memories comfort you and God's love surround you through this difficult time.

I first met Ben in passing while working here at Providence Hospital in the late 90's. Such a plesant and ageless gentleman, with a warm smile. I left in 2007, came back in 2012, saw Ben on the elavator and shared with him how he looks the same. Humbly he said thank you it was good to see me also as he walked away, with his warm smile, plesant demeanor and ageless appearance. I thank bless God and his family for sharing him with us. Much love, peace, and comfort I send to you all.

It's still so hard to believe Ben is gone. I worked with him at Providence for the last 15 years - he was always so friendly and had the best attitude. I fondly called him "Benny" when I ran into him in the halls; he will be missed beyond measure by many. Blessings to the family.

I worked with Ben at Prov for many years on Evening shift until I retired in 2007. Ben was very intelligent and learned things very quickly, which was much appreciated by us all. He always had a smile on his face. The night I retired I tried to shake his hand to say goodbye, but instead he gave me a big bear hug! My utmost condolences to Rose and family.
