I am so sorry to hear of Boyd's passing. He may not have known it, but he was extremely influential in my life. My mom is Judy Kessinger, one of his students in Soldotna, and I have very fond memories of Flora & Fauna trips and art classes as an older child... all centered around Boyd. I have thought of him often as I grew up and told my own children stories about him. I even wrote an essay about him as an influential person in my life while I was attending college. I sure wish I could have introduced them to him! Best wishes and much love to his family.

Sorry to have missed meeting up before you left Alaska, & later was too late
without recourse to try another time.

Best wishes & good memories, old friend!

That you have sanctified life by living to full measure and sharing the love of learning, among all who would care to know, should guarantee a place in the new world tomorrow; where the wisdom of a child will lead, in the kingdom of god.

I am sorry to hear of Boyd's passing. He was a great inspiration and teacher of art and nature for so many people. I recently had the privilege of having a wonderful email connection with him where he sent me articles about birding. He was a teacher right up to the end. A great man. Ann

Susan and family, please accept my sincere condolences, I as so sorry to hear of Boyd's passing. I still have a painting that he did in my home; and I have enjoyed it these many years.

In Moose Pass in the sixties, Boyd taught me a lot about art, painting and most of what I know about falconry. My condolences to family and friends. Rest in peace Boyd.

I was there when my big brother, Boyd came back from the war with an injured leg. He was in a bad place mentally trying to escape his war hell. It was a dark time for him and our family. But he and his family were so blessed with a brilliant, fruitful, beautiful 70 more years of rewarding life. He was a wonderful gift to his family and many friends and students. Thank you big brother Boyd.

Boyd was a man for all seasons. They don't come along very often. So much accomplished. Rest well Boyd.
