I first met Carl, his wife and a couple of daughters at bingo.
I would always see them at Church.
One day he showed up in our village as a pilot.
I will miss seeing him at Church

Having spent many hours, days, flying with Carl when he first came to N.A.C.
I can say he was a mixture of everything good. Good pilot, good worker good to his family and fellow man. May he rest in peace.

Good guy, I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with him during a difficult time for him. He had quite the life.

Sorry to hear of his loss to us all especially to his family. He was an unpredictable man when it came to jobs! Every time through out his life he would be doing something different! Two things that stand out was one year when we were fishing off of St. George I heard some yelling over the water and thought someone was in trouble, but no,it was Carl trying to yell a halibut onto his hook! The next time, decades later,I ran into he & Louise while shopping in Anchorage and he told me he was a pilot and flying cargo in a dc6! He always had the time to stop and politely talk, but one could always sense that he was on a mission! He always had the odd story of his experiences, but you would have to be there to get the real thrill! I was glad to be on the ground when the experience was one of his piloting in whiteout conditions and a faulty altimeter while going onto his final for landing then realized his wingtip was just feet off the ice! He just chuckled about it! I did too,but only after I forced my gapping mouth closed! I will miss you my friend! Your mission is to Rest In Peace. My thoughts are with the family who were my best friends growing up on St. George! God bless.

RIParadise Carl! You were asking about me before you passed, haven't seen you since Edgecumbe. You made my day asking how I was doing, proud to have known you and condolences to all of your family.

What a blessed life he built for those that came after him, and what a testament you his family and friends are to the wonderful, loving, giving, special man he was. Condolences to all who grieve the passing of Carl. Eternal Peace

God bless you and your families on the loss of your dad. I love my brother and feel he will walk a pain free life now and be with Louise, and be at peace. He lived a full, good life. Memory Eternal.

I love you dad- you're the greatest father, dad, and provider there ever was. You did a great job in building your family, providing for your family and always being there for your family. I am forever grateful to have gotten to spend these last 18 months since mom past getting to know you just as my dad. I love you and miss you just as much as my mama, it's sad going home and not seeing you or expecting you to call me to tell me things or ask me things. Thank you for being my dad---thank you for coming all over the states and the Alaska playgrounds with me this year...thank you for the lessons in fishing, camping and hunting...it's because of you I have always lived up to my name "Rage"...you were the greatest role model, the best dad, and forever my hero...thank you for your service and dedication to your family, your country and yourself. I love you forever and ever I do, with all my heart.
