Thank you to everyone that has written here. I just now, for the first time, have looked at these messages. God Bless! And THANK YOU to Ben Hole for sponsoring this page longer. I miss my Dad every day and there are still times when it feels unbearable. I went through the motions of the holidays last year still numb. I am in a different place this year and grieving all over again. Thank you for keeping my Dad in your hearts and remembering him and his amazing soul.

OK, here I am 9 months late to offer condolences, having just learned of his death in the latest Earlhamite. We were good buddies at Scattergood School, a high school Quaker boarding school, followed by Earlham College, unfortunately we didn't keep in touch thereafter and now I regret not having made the pilgrimage to Anchorage to visit him and his family. Note to Sue - I fondly remember being invited to dinner at your parents home on Seven Locks Road in 1969, when Dave was in the DC area interviewing for jobs. So sorry to hear this news.

Blessed to have him as a neighbor, blessed to work with him, too. He gave me great advice on both fronts. My condolences, Sue; and while I didn't know the kids, my sympathy and prayers to them.

Lake Clark miss many people this pass weekend, but the sky was blue and I know they were all with us at the lake. The picnic was small but I had a Hot Link for you Dave it was a good one. We missed you and always will. Keep your wings up.

Dave, you were missed last weekend at Lake Clark, You were in our thought's all weekend as were other's. Linda planted potatoes for you (hope they grow) and got the garden in ,it was a beautiful warm weekend at the lake. We also helped Parry cut down the last big tree that could have fallen on the cabin, I took Hot Lacks to the picnic and eat one just for you (I do like them also). Every time I eat a Hot Lack I will think of David Oesting, This one's for you DAVID !! We miss you so.

Love to All, Diane Barnett

I always enjoyed Dave's "Hello, how are you doing" and the chats we had while keeping our lawns trimmed up. A great neighbor and I will miss him. Cheryl and I were shocked to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue and the family
