God, how I miss you Debi! It was actually a very hard summer doing the dog shows without you. Your birthday last week was too quiet and empty. As you know, a couple of our friends have joined you up there, as have a couple of our favorite pups. Life is not the same, and it is hard to find the joy. So I try to remember your laugh. When I can manage it, I'll find some of our videos. Keep a watch out, Debi.

Debi was such a great puppy class teacher. We had such a great time learning from her and I loved her laugh when she was watching puppies do something silly. She has definitely made an impact on my life by encouraging us to be the best pup parents we can. Very thankful for her.

Debi and I worked together on 2 North at Whittier Pres, my very first nursing job in 1981! From there it was the beginning of a fun friendship, complete with cake throwing fights at my graduation party (at her house and never to be forgotten!)to brunches, to crazy laughter over silly things, Debi always had a contagious smile and way of showing friends how much she appreciated them. She will be missed by the California crowd for sure, but always in our hearts. Prayers are with you Elissa and Karen...Robin

Debi and I met at Whittier HS when we took a summer drama course. This began a wonderful friendship and formed other friendships with those who loved drama as we did. We had many fun times together during HS and in our young adulthood before her move to Alaska. We chose the same career which we both loved. In 2014, my husband and I got to spend time with Debi and her sisters during a trip to Alaska. It was very special and was as if we hadn't been apart all those years! Debi was a loving and generous person and I am privileged to have known her. My condolences to her sisters, Karen & Elissa and all her dear friends.

I am going to miss you, my friend. See you on the other side amidst a throng of joyful dogs.

In life she soared with compassion and infectious happiness, now she soars with angels.I had the fortune to have met her. Now, when I look at my dog Rosa, I remember the fun we had at Debbie's classes.

It's only been a little over a week but I miss her deeply. Debi had an infectious laugh and a smile that could brighten any room. I've gotten so used to hearing her voice getting after her collection of jr. Handlers at our set up, that I know dog shows will be a little lonely without her there.
The first time I met Debi was shortly after she got Killian. She lived in Eagle River and had dropped off her car at johnsons to get her tires changed and had planned on walking home with her boy while she waited. Mom and I had also gone down to get our tires changed and we saw Killian. I immediately asked if I could pet her Sheltie and she got so excited that we knew he wasn't a collie. It was the start of having a great new friend.
Lots of adventures in dog shows, trials and herding lessons have been had in the years since then. I know that every dog related adventure that is yet to come will still have Debi's spirit with us and maybe if we listen closely, will still hear her laughter along with Killian's encouraging bark.

Extremely well written. I think of Debi and her sisters every day. I, as well as all her other friends, will feel this tremendous loss for a very very long time
