Bozeman Family, I am so terribly sorry to hear such very sad news! I just found out today! We moved away 3 1/2 years ago and had received Christmas news letters from you and had just lost touch with distance. I could not believe it when McKenzie (my daughter) called me to the computer to see it was so. My heart goes out to each and every one of her children & her husband! May God be there this holiday season to help us all remember what a phenominal & beautiful person inside & out that Deneen was! She is the one special teacher my daughter will never forget & we are so blessed to have shared that with Deneen several times. We all have that "1" who leaves a special footprint in your heart & mark in your life! There are times we do not get to share our feelings.... Deneen, we will say a prayer tonight for your family and to you, may you be at peace in heaven knowing that you left behind you, SO MANY beautiful things. the most important of things, the special pieces in life that you carry in your heart & soul! You are so very missed, I hope you knew & know just how great you were while on this earth. In the afterlife we can all look forward to reuniting with you.....

I believe Deneen was one of God's angels; sent here to Earth to set an example for the rest of us on how to love and live each day to the fullest. After I observed Deneen in 2002 at a party, I decided right away that I would not be spending much time with her. "Boy, was I wrong!" I had to apologize to her for making such a snap decision. She instantly forgave me and told me that she did the same thing. Ha!
Those that have met Deneen and really taken the time to get to know her, have definitely witnessed a spirit of generosity and love. I am glad that I had a chance to call her "friend".
She had a passion for learning and teaching. To this day, she is the only woman I know that could take a baby jar and a bottle cap and create 101 classroom games that children actually enjoy playing. I know that Deneen is living peacefully with God right now. She deserves an eternity of joy because she tried to add so much of it to those down here on Earth.
God bless Deneen and her family. Let her light shine on throughout the generations!

I worked with Deneen as a faculty member at UAA in the Mentoring Program. Deneen was a "go to" mentor when we needed a master teacher who also had the skills to mentor young teachers. What a gifted teacher and mentor she was!
She took my mentoring class and was a stand out student as well. She had an enthusiasm and love for life that influenced everyone who knew her.
You can all be so proud of her contributions to children, families, new teachers and her colleagues. She will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not realize the magnitude of Deneen's illness.
My prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for letting me know in response to my card. I only got to know Deneen briefly, but she was clearly a committed, gifted teacher and mother. I will remember your family in prayer. May you find peace and comfort in Him.

I have wonderful fond memories of Deneen. Whenever our families got together, Deneen and I hung out and had lots of fun. Every time I hear the song "Lets hear it for the boy", it reminds me of her as that was one of her favorite songs in high school. Deneen was full of life and quite the comedian.

My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Denielle...thank you so much directing me to this site. What a beautiful tribute to your sister. I feel sad that I never had the opportunity to get to know my cousin. After reading the obit and these posting, I feel I missed out on meeting and knowing such an incredible woman. My deepest sympathy and prayers to you all.

So sorry to hear about Deneen. Although I don't remember meeting her, my mom (Charlene Bohn) remembers Deneen and her wonderful family stopping in Atlanta to visit some years ago. Our prayers are with you all.
