We are so sorry to hear of Doug's death. He was my best friend. I know I will see him again in Heaven. May God bless and strengthen his family during this sad time.

I never met Douglas but seems like I know him, Dennis, his brother told me of him and his service to our country. We are so sorry for loss of Douglas but we feel your good memories will lessen the grief.
We pray for the family amid these sad days. May the Lord Bless all.

So sorry about losing Doug. He was a good friend and neighbor. May God be with you and comfort you.

My sympathy and prayers for all of Doug's family and friends. He & some of his family were a big part my early years in Eagle River. His kindness, Faith and Trust in the Lord touched my family deeply. He was always ready to offer help and encouragement...I can still see him in the dark and cold of an evening as he helped dig a huge 5 foot deep hole in my yard to bury the wooden box holding our beloved Golden Retriever. To this day - when someone asks how I am - if I say "Fine", I immediately think of Doug who shared his southern roots by saying "Finer Than Frog Hair" to me in 1990. Looking forward to celebrating in Eternity with him...
