I loved Uncle Doyle so very much. Doyle was a very special man. I know he was so loved by his Alaska family and it warms my heart to know this.

Upon arriving on the Kuskokwim in October, 1978, with an option of teaching in any of the up-river villages, Doyle advised me to go to Stony River. "They've got the best looking women on this river." I listened to him and eventually found a new life with one of those women. Esther and I miss you daily, Doyle.

A Sweet Man really does describe Omar. I was lucky enough to stay overnight in his beautiful Kuskokwim Cabin. He graciously let a group of women spend a day and night renewing energy and love surrounded by that beauty. Always a smile and always a friend. Journey on..

He is a True Patriot. He served his Country and shared his passion for life honorably with all of his friends. He gave life his all. He built a foundation where he was able to share that friendship freely and generously. His keen observations and considerable skills helped all those who were lucky enough to have known ,however briefly, this KIND BRAVE SOUL. "IT IS a far, better thing that I do,than I have ever done; it is a far,far better rest that I go to,than I have ever known" Dickens said it best. With ALL our LOVE.
